A very interesting location. This is the main road Pretty Bay. Centre of picture shows New Street, a very narrow and uphill road that leads to Zurrieq Road. Years ago the local buses used to go through this road. It was a very difficult task to drive a large bus up this street uphill and a sharp right hand turn into Zurrieq Rd. At left of picture is a Bar that used to be owned by the Paris family. At right of picture is a Bar that for many years it was just a coffee shop, later used as a Bar for English people. It was called Joe's Bar. The Birzebbuga St Peters Footbal Club is upstairs and you can see the two balconies. Photo by Dina.

Another interesting location. This is main road Pretty Bay. Just past the corner of Birzebbuga Road on the left. There used to be 2 large summer houses long ago. One of them still shown here. The one at centre of picture has had many floors added and now houses apartments that are rented by tourists. Back in the 1930s this summer house was called by the locals as 'id dar tas Sur Wig'. This location is off Pretty Bay main road and at the rear of the buildings is a Square that is also the Birzebbuga bus terminus. These buildings are new. They are modern apartments. In days gone by there ysed to be two large summer villas. One was called The Red House. Also a at some time back one of them was temporary used as a school. Photo by Dina.

The main road at Pretty Bay. The two balconies belong to the St Peters Football Club of Birzebbuga. It is also a billiards club, a Bar & coffee shop. Was built in the 1920s and was mainly a Club for many years. Below, at ground level in the centre of picture is the barber shop of the Brincat family that was operating way back in the 1930s. Pretty Bay road. This is Cherries Entertainment Centre. Its a very large and old building that was built pre 1900. During WW2 it was occupied by the English Army and used as H.Q. for some English Army Regiments. Photo by Dina.

Pretty Bay promenade. This side extension of the main roadway was carried out a good few years ago and has been a great addition to the overall scene of Pretty Bay. A very nice walkway with many benches, new lights and greenery has been installed. The location here is about opposite Our Lady of Sorrows Str. Photo by Dina.
